The generous folks at Under Armour cooked up this one-of-one exclusive Boricua BB Prototype for Bobb! Draped in white patent leather, the shoe features a densely perforated middle and Puerto Rico’s national flag burned onto the heel. On the medial side, “Kool Bob Love” runs diagonally, left to right, along the Proto’s ankle collar in blue stitching. UA’s “Shield” logo is embossed on middle and the coqui, P.R.’s national animal, rides up front in gold.

Again, these joints are one-of-one and exclusive to a brother who’s one heckuva ballplayer and proud of his Boricua heritage. They will not be hitting retail!

Brandon Jennings has returned from his transatlantic hoops pilgrimage to compete in NBA Predraft Camps with the cream of the NCAA’s 2009 crop. The 6′0 LA native signed with the burgeoning Under Armour camp last Fall and will sport these exclusive black/yellow/white “Young Money” Prototypes during evaluative workouts over the next few weeks. The shoe’s perforated mesh upper is balanced by splashes of patent leather at the fore and rear. Armour’s shield logo is burned onto the middle panel and BJ’s “Young Money” moniker is stitched diagonally, left to right, on the padded ankle collar.

These joints are custom and exclusive to Brandon, so don’t worry ’bout coppin!

Brandon Jennings is a man of many firsts. The devilishly quick point guard bypassed a one-and-done college career in the Arizona desert for a more lucrative stint with Pallacanestro Virtus Roma in Italy. (A little Mediterranean sunshine never hurt anyone, did it?) Jennings also was the first hoops athlete to sign on with upstart Baltimore-based brand Under Armour who has made noise in the football and training worlds with functional, anti-aesthetic releases. The company is set to deliver hardwood kicks just in time for the 2010 season.
