Converse held a number of events in Atlanta last weekend in conjunction with their annual Band of Ballers 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
The highlight of many surprises took place when Jim Jones and Cam’ron reunited on the court. Cam’ suited with the Jones Family basketball team which swept the tournament for the second straight year. Jermaine Dupri’s team, So So Def fell to the Jones Family early in the tournament.
Other highlights from the weekend included a trip to the Georgia Tech Campus Rec Center which plays host to one of many Converse Open Gym programs. Converse Open Gym provides youth with exceptional facilities to learn and play organized basketball at no cost. Sessions are held in Atlanta, Philly, and Chicago and available to kids aged 12-18.
We were also treated to a detailed viewing of the Converse Lifestyle line for Fall, 2010 which included an embargo on photography and the two OG colorways of the ‘Grandmama’ Larry Johnson Aero Jets.
A party at Dallas Austin’s house to watch Mayweather smoke Mosley capped off the amazing weekend.
Great thanks to Kathleen at TeamWorks Media for extending the invitation and privilege to attend the events. Hope to do it again next year, in Chicago.
