In New York City, we have power house teams with big time players. In order to be put in the genre of power-house teams, you need to have someone with a high-enough basketball IQ on the sideline directing your every move, someone who knows where the mismatches are and when to take advantage of them.
The coaching position is vital to a team’s success, and without a coach with a good basketball IQ, your team is as good as an anvil stuck in quick sand. So who do you think are the top five coaches in NYC and why?

Tonight at 145th & Lenox in Harlem at 6:00pm, Dancy Power aka Sean Bell All-Stars plays defending champions Money Train in an epic battle that will determine who will go to the Nike Tournament of Champions on Saturday.
Coach Rah leads his Sean Bell All-Stars, a team that is mostly Queens (NY) based against Money Train a team that surely gets most of their players from the Q as well.
The game features talent like Antawn “Anti-Freeze” Dobie, B.J. “The Beast” McFadden, Kareem “The Best Kept Secret” Reid, Corey “The Undertaker” Underwood, and Jazz “Total Package” Mansell.

“Bring your game, not your name” , a simple statement printed on dozen of tees, summarizing well the philosophy that was reigning around the 7th edition of the Quai 54. Still sponsored by Jordan Brand and Foot Locker, the biggest intertionnal streetball competition came back this year gathering more than 5000 people on two days with the usual mix of strong basketball, Hip Hop entertainment and some unexpected surprises.
