October 12, 2009, BAKERSFIELD – The Bakersfield Jam, an NBA Development League team affiliated with the NBA’s Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers are holding an open tryout this weekend, October 17 and 18 at the Burlingame Sports Center in Burlingame, CA from 9:00 am to 2:00pm on Saturday and 9:00am to 12:00pm on Sunday.

Someone told me that Rick Apodaca has the most phenomenal jumper he’d ever seen. I think I agree. Seeing day after day the practices of Carife Ferrara in the Italian League and Apodaca taking his jumpers, I can admire the harmony of his movement, the glide in the air just before the release of the ball from the hands.

Vote Smush Parker and other NYC Ballers for the D-League All-Star Game in Phoenix!
For the second consecutive year, the D-League will be representing at NBA All-Star weekend. This year’s festivities will be held in Phoenix, Arizona. The NBA All-Star game will be played on Sunday, February 13th, with the D-League All-Stars putting in work the day before at 2pm. Bobbito hit me off with some info regarding NYC players that can be voted into the game by you, the fans.
