Vintage footage of NYC streetball in the ’90s.
What else can be said of the late John “Franchise” Strickland that hasn’t already been said? His body of work speaks for itself. The way he ran back on defense looking at his right hand, then his left, then right, left, right, left after he made an innocent defender look dumbfounded under the hoop is the image that lasts in my mind. His craftiness on the block was unparalleled. I created an image with some pictures I have of Strick and thought I’d share it. It’s just one of the many ways his legacy has become immortalized.
