The first time I saw these sneakers, I was in 10th grade reading a Slam Magazine during lunch, fell in love with them then and I still love ‘em. Who would have known six years later I would be an online writer at large for bouncemag.com? Now if only I can find a pair on Ebay.

Why do they call him The Myth? Could it be that perhaps the Daze Streetball player/owner brags game mostly found in that non-ball state with the Big Cheeseheads? Yeah…Wisconsin…where its supposedly cold like all the time and nobody plays ball outside of Milwaukee. Pfff…Street basketball is an EPIDEMIC and growing!! According to CQ Press City Crime Rankings 2008-2009, Richmond hones the sixth highest crime rate (out of 215 cities in the US) for cities with populations of 100,000 to 499,000. The competition on the blacktop must be tough!

Although we recognize New York City to be the mecca of street basketball, we cannot forget about the playground game on blacktops everywhere. Like hip-hop, the street game has spread to many parks and hoods. Cities like Boston, Houston, Memphis, and Seattle are only some of MANY cities that are easily overlooked on the national scene.
