Celtic Pride

With the basketball footwear category down in sales for consecutive years, shoe companies used the high-visibility opportunity of February’s NBA All-Star Weekend to showcase more traditional colorblocking options and design. Most shoes featured some combination of a red/gold/white or blue/silver/white variety, which is not necessarily a bad thing—peep the adidas TS Pro Model in red/gold—but […]

First Look: adidas Gil TS Creator (GilIIIZero?)

Expect to see these on Gil’s feet when the 2008-2009 NBA season rolls around. I can’t definitively say whether Arenas and the other adidas “Signature” athletes will have their own shoes , as some say the brand will return to individual models, while others say the they will continue alone with the “We” approach.
Either way, […]

Tennessee Lady Hoops superstar Candace Parker recently signed an endorsement deal with adidas. In her three years with the Volunteers, she led her team to two NCAA Women’s Championships.
Back in March, adidas released their first strictly women’s release called the Pro Mama. With Parker becoming a stable part of the brand’s arsenal, expect three designs […]
