Young William Ross started playing basketball at 7 years of age. He attends the Cathedral School by Columbia University and plays for the Fastbreak AAU squad. Like all 12-year-old kids, he digs the NBA jerseys and the game accessories, but it all comes down to the shoes when the ball hits the court.

The 5-3 guard likes playing ball because when he has the rock “he feels in control.” His signature move is one of the playground’s most revered – the reverse layup. Though small, Will has a quick release and is a good jump shooter. At the gym, he works on his skills in a determined fashion and for that, I asked him to review his kicks: The Reebok Zig Tech Slash because he really likes how the zig zag sole design pattern at the bottom of the sneaker performs. .

Will shared why he likes John Wall’s new signature shoe:

What I like about the look of the sneaker is the soles of the shoes, nobody has ever done that before. They make me feel lighter, like I can jump over the backboard. I never have to tie my shoes again during the game, they stay tied (Editors Note: a big deal) and I feel like I can play like John Wall every game.

My friends get a little jealous, because they all want the shoes. I am actually getting them for my friend’s birthday because he wants them. I scored 24 points in them one game and had a 6 assist and 6 steal game in my Walls.
