Mogul Sports Groups’ 2nd Puerto Rico Women’s Basketball Showcase was full of exposure and opportunity. Mogul Sports Group’s female clientele showcased their skills and work ethic in front of owners and coaches in Morovis Puerto Rico on April 30 – May 2, 2010. Not only did the players work out in front of the coaches they were able to compete as a team against the Puerto Rico Women’s National Team.

Mogul Sports Group team was made up of:

Nicole Emery   (Seton Hall University)

Diatiema Hill   (University of Massachusetts)

Katie Piekielski   (NJIT)

Christie Marrone  (University of Maryland)

Lisa Karcic  (Villanova University)

Shannon Oberg  (UNLV)

Lauren Schober  (Bucknell University)

Jasmine Moore 5′8″   (C.W. Post University)

Madison Robertson    (NYIT)

Though the Mogul Sports Group team was not victorious the event and experience was a very positive one as Puerto Rico was a tremendous host. As a result of the 2nd Annual Women’s Private Showcase, Mogul Sports Group is negotiating several player contracts.

Mogul Sports Group personally invited 30 of the best college seniors in the Tri-State area to attend a private basketball try-out in New York City. “This ensured that we would obtain the best unsigned talent and provide an equal opportunity for everyone, said Mogul Sports Group General Manager, Marquis L. Taylor.”

Mogul Sports Group’s 2nd Annual Puerto Rico Women’s Basketball Showcase was made possible by six key sponsors. All six companies are emerging to the forefront of their respective industries and collaborated with Mogul Sports Group in an effort to gain recognition within the sports industry.  A special thank you to Hank Williams at BUCKETS (BucketsAllDay.com), Francis Orekoya at F.Dynamo 1986 LLC (FDynamo1986.com), Joseph Johnson at urpalate.com, Corey Ingram at Steady House (SteadyHouseNow.com) and Carl Winfree at Uptown Sports Academy (UptownSportsAcademy.com)

As we continue to move through 2010 Taylor is determined to increase the frequency of both player workouts and exposure opportunities through his resources for more players to be able to pursue their dreams.

Mogul Sports Group is accepting player profiles all year around so if you are interested in representation, please email your player profile to Marquis L. Taylor at MTaylor@MogulSportsGroup.com

Great to see Mogul Sports Group becoming a more and more well-known name within the sports industry. They are doing a great job of getting their players good international exposure, and it looks like this will be resulting in even more player contracts, both for the men and women. Marquis is really setting the benchmark for other agencies in the area to look up to. Keep it up!

Mogul Sports Group is a great organization. As a participant in the Women’s Puerto Rico Showcase it has gave me both the experience and the opportunity to play at a higher level.
