Stanley Lumax from Converse got me hip to their new campaign with Shammgod. Shammgod recalls his childhood basketball regimen and “shaking his own shadow.”

incredible minute and a half. wow. i photograhped shammgod at colonel young park, the same one he’s dribbing at in this video, when we featured him in Bounce Magazine. that photo wound up getting used for the Nike “God Is Watching” campaign. i think i’m gonna go try to shake my shadow today!

Bobbito, I need that issue of Bounce. You can vouch that I’ve been lobbying to get this man his props for the longest. Now if I can just get KRS ONE a lifetime achievement award from the Grammy’s, I’ll feel I have contributed something to the culture. Peep the Bounce post I wrote on Shammgod

If Shamgod was an overseas player instead of a NYC kid. He’d be a lottery pick now. They say he couldn’t stick because of a J. What does Antonio Daniels & Chris Duhon do consistently. LOL. They could tell you whatever you believe. You’re telling he can’t be a serviceable back up today. You’re kidding right. Timing boy. The Gift & Curse. Might have the best ball handling drills ever created to man. Better Basketball should cut a check.

Some people in Philly say Jerome Pooh Allen invented the move. They both do it differently but it’s based of the same movement. Pooh hit Kevin Johnson with it in a game vs the Dream Team II vs College stars. WOW. I was at Rucker park. When Sham hit this kid from Boston with it. They were calling him Child Abuse. He threw it out did the leg run & pulled it back. The kid went flying. I had my whole neighborhood trying it & defending it for a month. Tyliek Brown is one of the few guards I’ve seen with close or similar handle. He mimicked almost every drill down to a tee. CRAZY. How do you scrap your knees to the ground full speed putting the ball between your legs in a game.

Shaheem’s double in & out/Erik Barkley’s inside change renamed the EB/Skip’s spin of your back/Bone collector whatever the hell he does/Alimoe wizadry/Jamal Crawford shakes/Mal Tinsley & Booger- Brooklyn’s Finest/Showtime Hill-Type showtime Hill on this site LOL/Andre”Boogie”Barrett Dribbles tennis balls better than most guards in the league today dribble a basketball
Steve Francis & White Chocolate on the streets MANNNNNNNNNNNNNN. Corey”Fisher Price”Fisher moves for days. He’s almost like Mark Jackson should have went to St.Johns & ran the show. Would have gotten them in the tournamnet had they handed it over. He didn’t like how his elder statesman was handled & treated at St.Johns

Some of the best handles some people/world never got to see because that’s supposedly not basketball.
