As an Ohio native, I love to hear stories about “Living Legends” who played ball. Coming out of Roth High School, Dwight Anderson was a standout for Kentucky and USC. His stint in the NBA did not last long because of drugs and alcohol, yet his game and personality is not forgotten. I read an article in the Dayton Daily News that highlights Anderson’s life and I suggest that you guys check it out.

Ramon,
Nice piece on an oft forgotten crowd pleaser. I remember him as a very athletic 2-Guard in the mold of Darrell Griffith. His flair was too much for the stodgy Joe B. Hall and then bluegrass types at Kentucky.
It is always disappointing to read these types of sad scenarios. It reminds us to keep mentoring the young ones and modulate their acclaim, as they rise to prevent falls.
His dunk on Orlando Woolridge was a thing of beauty, chest to chest with two hands. Peep the youtube video.
