From Lou Richie in Oakland, California:
Lend a hand by donating shoes today. The earthquake in Haiti is a reminder of just how fragile our world is. In response to the devastation that affected so many, Triple Threat Academy’s ‘Project Shoe Assist’ is partnering with Soles4Souls and Sports Chalet to lend a helping hand.
Starting today, our Bladium (Alameda) and 24 Hour Fitness (San Ramon) locations will be accepting gently worn men’s, women’s & kids’ shoes until Saturday, January 30th. We only have 10 days, so please act fast. Please tie all shoes together before dropping off.
All the shoes collected will be sent directly to Soles4Souls for distribution to the Haitian people.
Drop Off Instructions:
Bladium: There will be a bin at the front of the club
24 Hour Fitness: Please give a TTA coach, NOT the front desk
Perhaps you can organize a local shoe drive in your community and bring them in. Project Shoe Assist’s last shoe drive helped more than 3,000 people in need of shoes in Brazil.
Many of us live with the threat of an earthquake every day, so it’s only a natural response to want to do something to help. Please stop by and drop off one, two or even three pairs of shoes and help
someone in need today.
Thank you so much.
