SKY’S THE LIMIT! The Latest / Dec 29, 2009 / 3:57 pm

Big shout out to Ilkkan Dede from Ankara Turkey who composed this mix that you see here today, it wasn't 100% accurate but after you see it you wont even care.

It’s been four years since the release of NBA Live 2005, and I still remember running from school to the video game spot just to get it. For the first time, a basketball video game had the NBA dunk contest. In previous years, you could create a signature dunk with NBA Shootout, but that wasn’t enough. As times were changing, people were getting bored of seeing the same old thing. Then, NBA Live 2005 came out with all-star weekend.

The Dunk contest was crazy. The players were doing dunks that real NBA players couldn’t do, matter of fact no human person on the planet we call earth could do the dunks that were in that game.

In the process, it gave people the vision to do the impossible, and the very next year Taurian Fontenette showed the world the impossible when he did a 720 on the 2006 AND 1 mixtape tour in his home state of Texas. I couldn’t believe my eyes, and the first thing that came to mind was NBA Live 05.

It didn’t stop there as Team Flight Brothers, a band of brothers who took dunking to new heights we had never seen before, was formed. They have the best dunker in the U.S. in my opinion on there roster, Guy Dupuy. His hops are out of this world, either that or someone created the first shoe with invisible rockets and is splitting a check with Guy. Check out my post on the top five dunkers in the U.S. by clicking here.

Enjoy the clip above. It’s a real goody, and don’t forget to add Bounce Magazine on twitter at http://twitter.com/bouncemag

#86 @ LA Lights Out Streetball event was bananas!

#66 at Hoops in the Sun…classic!

    #27 & 26 – I never saw anybody jump over a QUAD! haha

#12 – my personal favorite: Vince Carter over Franc Weis

NBA Live 05 was the last in the Live series that I bought! That Pat Da Roc kick at 26 seconds was crazy not to mention the knee self-pass.

No one can compare to TJ with that 720 though. Ridiculous!
