Zach Radz says:
Zach Radz at the Jim Couch Weekend
Went down to the Concrete Jungle where Dreams are made of on Sunday for the Jim Couch Rising Freshman Games / Bounce Magazine at Baruch College with my Albany City Rocks Crew .
Well , as I’m sure you may know by now , I am not a Freshman , I am a 7th grader so just to get invite to practice with & travel with my older friends was an honor for me . Thanks to Coach White for a great week .
I only got a few minutes in the game , which is what I expected but I still had fun & we won the ‘chip as well . It always amazes me that in NYC , the awards are always HUGE . Where I am from , you would have to win the State Title to get we got for one game . Thanks to the Couch Foundation & all the sponsors who supplied us with nice uni’s , t-shirts & copies of Bounce .
The highlight of the day for me was the skills & drills prior to the game . I went out the floor with what looked like al sophs , junes & seniors & I was by the far the smallest dood on the floor . After running through a few drills , Jim Couch asked who I was & where I was from & complemented me on my skills . The Head Coach of Baruch did as well as Sean Couch who gave me some love at the end saying to all the older kids ” shorty got it done out here today ” . It is little things like that continue to make me work hard & travel as much as I can to be seen by as many people as possible .
Last but certainly not least , I need to thank my Mom & Dad for all the support this year . Can’t do it with you guys .
