From time to time, I will post my opinion about Nike/Jordan Basketball shoes that did not hold up to the hype. Maybe the shoe looked great, but when it came down to the hardwood or pavement, it was unsuccessful. Post your thoughts if you owned the shoe; tell me if you agree or disagree.
The Nike Hyperflight, in my opinion, is one of the best-looking basketball shoes for the 2000’s. It had simple lines, yet the patent leather gave the shoe pizzazz. I still think Steve Madden stole some styling cues from this shoe, using the “H” on its casual shoes. In the end the Hyperflight performed poorly. The Hyperflight had no traction, little ankle support because of the use of patent leather, and was prone to cutting ankles. I don’t know how Jason Williams wore the Hyperflight while performing streetball moves in the NBA. I take that back, White Chocolate is pretty amazing.

Co-sign. I even bought that damn shoe TWICE because it looked so good. Both times, I never even made it to the court before returning them, the cushioning was so bad. I still would buy the all white again, but with switching the insoles with the Flightposites or Trainerposites.

I had these in black. Probably still around in a box somewhere at the house. They weren’t bad, strictly for indoor hoops. Sole was a little too thin for me so I didn’t wear them much.
Remember when you could return defective sneakers to Nike for credit? I got them from that for free with the VC Boings actually. Good old days.

I thought they still did that Sho-Nuff. I love how the shoe looks, I need a pair as we speak. They look beautiful, but it was not a performer. One of those casual basketball shoes you wear to the court, but your real ballin shoes are in the bag or hand.

I still have my purple joints that JWill rocked only worn one time beautiful shoe but yea not very good in performance, creased like hell and softned up no ankle support.
I sold my all white pair after playing in them just one time reason being that if the midsole touched the court u hit tha deck where tha sole met the upper was hard and if it made contact with tha floor it felt like ice n had u on ya ass fast.
Jason rocked them for all the 01 playoffs and the preseason and start of the year with the Grizzlies his feet musta been killin him then again he may have had special molded insoles like most NBA players probably made them more comfy to play in.

i was part of the tv ad campaign for those, so i remember them very well. we had to wear them on the puerto rican float that nike did in 2002, and walked miles in them up 5th ave. i didn’t like the way the looked or felt. the hyperdunk and hyperize (which i just got and am FEELING) are much superior shoes in all ways.

I actually had them in black and tested them indoors and outdoors. Indoors the sneaker is real light and if your a dunker you would probly have a couple of victims, if you play on concrete with this sneaker be prepared to feel some serious foot pains. The sneaker is Ill and maybe with Flight Tecnology it can become a better sneaker whenever NIKE decides to bring em out RETRO style, I’ not Miss Cleo but with NIKE’s record I know they will be re released, they gotta work on the Ankle support for this sneaker cause I must have turned my sneaker like 100 time in that shoe.

The traction of those shoes were incredible,as the entire sole was herringbone patterned up.The fit itself was not very secure, but they were as light as feathers due to the minimalist design.Once during a pick up game,i made a steal, and my foot came clean out the left shoe-the shoe never budged…..

The Hyperflight was a casual/fashion shoe. The lack of cushioning is what killed it as far trying to play ball in it. If they got retroed, I’d pick them up to rock casually only.
