Playoff action at Dyckman intensified Monday as Posse took on the Kingdome Ballers. On paper it wouldn’t have been far fetched to think tthe Kingdome Ballers would make it look easy against Posse because of their star-studded line-up, which included Kendel “World Premiere” Provet, Kenny “Serious Satellite” Satterfield, Total Package and Kareem “Best Kept Secret” Reed.

However, Posse’s Kash and Mike “Get 2 It” Tuitt, who dropped 20 apiece, made things complicated for the Kingdome Ballers. In the end, though, ‘Reem’s game-high 21 points and K-Satt’s 5 treys en route to 19 were too much for Posse, who dropped a close one, 78-76. The Kingdome Ballers and TNP will battle it out tonight for a trip to the championship game.

The second game of the night featured Harlem Ballers against Bingo’s All-Stars and it was a goody indeed. The coach of the Harlem Ballers sported a shirt that read, “B.I.N.G OUTTA HERE!” Meanwhile, Bingo’s All-Stars rocked white tees that said, “Bingo’s All-Stars” in the Godfather font.

The Harlem Ballers got off to a quick start with Momo, who finished with 12, and Jiggy Josh, 9, getting hot early. As the game went on, though, they were no match for Bingo’s deep roster. At halftime, Bingo’s crew led, 42-25. “EZ Pass” had already dropped 17 at that point.

Just six minutes into the second half, the score ballooned to 55-31. The momentum really shifted in favor of Bingo’s squad when Gary “The Veteran” Ervin blew by his man and caught a rare two-handed slam that got the crowd on its feet.

Gary Ervin threw down a ridiculous dunk Monday night.

A few minutes later, “The Beast from the East” dimed Mike “The Punisher” Glover, who finished with 17, for a wide open banger. Ant “I-Robot” Glover was aggressive in the paint, finishing with 14. “EZ Pass” finished with 24 en route to a 77-47 demolition of Harlem Ballers. Bingo’s All-Stars will face the winner between Kingdome Ballers and TNP Wednesday at 8 p.m. for a trip to the Dyckman championship game and ultimately a spot in the Tournament of Champions this Saturday at Goat Park.

  4. kenny Patt says:

Thanks Trevor. I rolled past there tonight & the park was dark. Did they play indoors?

  5. Jon Lopez says:

Yeah, there was an issue last night with the lights so the games are pushed back a day now. TNP will face Kingdome Ballers tonight for a trip to the chip against Bingo’s All-Stars tomorrow night. Of course, this is all dependent on the weather conditions. Commissioner Ken Stevens does not want to have to take the games indoors, but will if he has to. I’ll keep you updated on this blog…

  6. Lee says:

    keep us posted–thanks

Playoff action at Dyckman resumes tonight at 7:30pm as The Kingdome Ballers take on TNP and the game will take place at its usual Dyckman Park, NOT indoors. This one promises to be off the hook! K-Satt, Kareem Reed and World Premier will put TNP’s defense to the test.
