Milwaukee’s first round pick and Under Armour’s inaugural hoops signee, Brandon Jennings, wore this white/green/yellow University of South Florida Prototype BB mock up yesterday in an NBA Summer League game against the Sacramento Kings.
Random yes, but don’t discount BJ’s crossover appeal. The media is on his every move after a belated Draft Day appearance and candid conversations on Twitter and YouTube. UA’s quietly making moves. Look for them (and USF) to debut their basketball division worldwide in 2010!
Oh, and Brandon’s stat line from the night was very “PG”-esque:
32 min, 5/13 fg, 2/3 3fg, 1/2 ft, 13 pts, 14 ast, 7 stl

yo, for real, 40–stop playin, b. you acting on emotion, not common sense! dem joints are flaves, not just saying that cuz they just blessed with me a pair with my name on it, either. of course you’re entitled to your opinion though! but don’t let you affiliation with k1x sponsoring your tournament not allow you to be honest about other brands. under armour also sent me a bunch of them tight fit tops and i told them — CHILL! i like the baggy look, nah’mean? i also prefer regular cotton t-shirts instead of microfiber. i was honest with them that i’d wouldn’t wear it. anyhow–props to brandon on his 14 assists–word up!

I’m telling you guys those sneakers are UGLY, and it’s not about being apart of K1X, I may rep K1X all day but if you know me well my favorite sneakers are NIKE. Those kicks are just plain ugly! Don’t know if there good for comfort, but I do know they are very very ugly and I would be surprised to see this patent sell in the U.S. They look like soccer shoes for crying out loud.
P.S I havent seen a K1X sneaker that I actually liked besides the recent DC AC’s and the original chiefgliders.

The sneaker game is so intimidating it isn’t funny. I don’t really have a lot to say about the UA kicks, but I am not bowled over by them. As a team shoe it is definitely going to be very good because of the potential for colorways but people are serious Nike heads. I think it is a very futuristic shoe and that it does not appeal to traditional sneaker heads. Since they have Brandon, UA will reach a market because they are using the Nike model of athletes selling kicks. But I don’t really hate the shoes or love them, though I would really like to feel a pair and wear a pair before passing total judgement. Chris B http://www.arch-usa.com

Oh I forgot if you look at the Brons in the picture you can’t really tell the two shoes apart can you?

I’m with 40 cal on this one. UA haven’t got enough rep to be droppin some silly ass designs yet and still get respect (see: Nike Sharkleys….)
These would look WAY fresher with a regular rounded heel not some lifted and pointed rear end. Its a fu**king shoe not a Ferrari, i don’t need no aerodynamics on my feet. Nobodies feet look like that so why would AU ever think that looked good?
Kicks look good when they make the feet that you have look good, not because they make your feet not look like feet, if you know what i mean…

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder…and these shoes are beautiful…Brandon Jennings playing well in the summer league too…and i got to say, him showing up late at the NBA Draft and shaking David Stern three picks later was awesome.

Donn stop it, those things are worse than public school lunch.

CCB says:
Damn, public school lunch?! Now that’s funny. Public school lunch is alright especially on pizza day with the rectangle pizza. But you have to admit that the UA sneaks and the Bron’s in the same pic look a lot alike. Once again though, I refuse to diss anybody at this moment, I’m too vulnerable to the same shots.

Sweet English says:
Yeah they got the same main lines as the Brons, but there is WAY to much goin on around the sole area.
Between the bottom sole and the main shoe body there are FOUR different plates. There are EIGHT different colours and/or materials on the rear heel area (sole to ankle) and TWO toeplates? What the f**k? That’s way too much. Simplicity is Beauty.
