Jordan Brand’s European outfit will plunge into Paris on June 27-28 and emcee Quai 54, France’s premier outdoor blacktop tourney. Renowned for its rugged open-air play and transcontinental talent, the Quai has caught recognition stateside in Bounce’s pages, on MTV’s defunct “Battlegrounds” program and during And1’s Mixtape Tour.
To ring in the summery occasion, Jordan Brand introduced the Quai 54 RUFF N TUFF Collection featuring the time-honored Jordan I and recently released Jordan Element Mid. The pack is available at House of Hoops locations now.

Laser blue premium leather abounds on the Q54 Jordan I. The cement print midsole draws on the tournament’s outdoor origins. Kente print underfoot is cloaked by a translucent outsole. Quai’s logo is stitched onto the tongue.

The Element Mid is fresh out the kitchen and Brand Jordan’s soup de jour for the playground in ’09. This predominantly black Quai 54 jawn features a combination patent leather/elephant nubuck/layered mesh upper. Technical components include an external TPU shank with sticky translucent herringbone inset and a Phylon midsole—both hardy enough for habitual blacktop use. Kente print drapes the shoe’s innards, and like its AJI bretheren, the Q54 is stitched onto the tongue.
