This Saturday, the Lower East Side opens up its first major tournament in the heart of the 6th borough at Houston Street between Forsyth and Chryste streets. The local natives are very excited to see players like, Miles High, 2 fast 2 furious, Mr. Furley, Bobbito Garcia and Mookie Thomas play.
We’ve never had anything like this in our area and I just wanted to give my community an opportunity to watch the same top-notch competition without having to swipe a metro card that may be hard to come by in this recession.
The 10 team A division will feature, Diamond Crew, Money Train, Ike’s Legends, R2K, Wolfpack, Gym Rats, Brownsville Recreation Center, X-Men (college team), Iced Tea & four-time champion Showtime. I will be releasing the week 1 schedule tomorrow and a few team and player previews.
