A couple of weeks ago, maybe more, just before December 31st I think, I stepped into the 14th St. Y after having taken off some weeks to rest my shoulder injury. I hadn’t played in a minute, but all the same regulars were there in the gym–Jonathan Canter, Yuta, Roman Perez, etc. Curiously enough, though, I noticed that out of the 20 dudes in the gym that day, more than half where wearing Nike Hyperdunks! I don’t think since the early ’90s, when the Air Force 1 was on its last leg of on court dominance, had I seen one model so prevalent on New York ballplayers’ feets. Wow!
I’ve heard a couple of cats complain that the Hyperdunks don’t last long, that the insole cushioning gives out after a couple of weeks of play. I’ve been loving them since I started hitting them up for my NRF League games. Is the jury still out on them, or are they hands down the best performance sneakers to have come out in a while? Seeing 12 dudes on the court with them has to be pretty strong evidence that they’re working pretty well . . .

I play 3 league games a week, I’ve had mine for 3 months now…the inside cushion from the mid-foot to where the ball of you foot is gone…
Its a good shoe if you play in the NBA, not so good for everyone else since we don’t get new shoes every other game

I have the USA hyperdunks a while I never had any problem with those. But I also bought the Kobe all american hyperdunks same size as the USA and they run big. I have to wear extra socks. I have been hooping in the new Kobes for about two weeks they are great. I’m in the airforce every one in the gym on base is wearing hyperdunks also. I see a new pair everyday. I think its the weight and pricetag.
