Bobbito Garcia a.k.a. Kool Bob Love says:
will is my main man! love that dude. we’ve been friends for almost 20 years since back wehn he was doing college radio in texas and i was sending him def jam records. once we realized we both could play (and wear mad exclusive kicks), we became buddies! haha! he is quoted all throughout my “Where’d You Get Those? New York City’s Sneaker Culture: 1960-1987″ book as i respect him as a high level connoisseur. his game is serious, too, i’ve never beaten him in a 1 on 1, although he i’ve gotten off some serious shake and bake sauce on him! haha

I don’t know if you can say he’s Toronto Streetball as Will hasn’t been living here since back in the day, but he’s definitely a vet when it comes to ball, kicks and hip-hop. he’s a historian and has countless great stories.
Good to see he is getting his due, because in Toronto they are too quick to bring you down.
Haters…

Family,
Appreciate the burn on my newest-latest, Court Surfing, on The Score Sports Network in Toronto, as well as some of my past glory & relationship with the Artist Formerly Known As Bobbito The Barber:)!
I’m gonna keep trying to do hip hop, hoops, my ManChild & just keepin’ it RIGHT with the World goin’, tu sabes? I believe if you do it for love & play with skills, good things happen…I learned that from watchin’ my man Bobbito!
VIRTUAL HIGH FIVE: Couch, you showed mad love & it’s logged in the Mental Rolodex for future reference. We’ll connect soon & update this list of T-Dot hoop kings, because most of us on that list are old now.
However, just like Elvis when he got fat, he could still sing; I’m ALWAYS gonna be able to do my “Release, Rotation…SPLASH!”.
My scouting report has but 3 words:
HE
WILL
FINISH!
Wall $treet, givin’ KBL the bizziness on the court all day, e’ryday:)!

Will! this is a great look. Some of the life lessons you schooled me on still remain etched in the forefront of my memory. It doesn’t seem like that long ago we sat on the gym floor as you showed me the ball handling warm up drill from the Spurs camp and I still get a little misty eyed when I think about your Raptors combine. You mean so many things to so many people and as a youngin I appreciated it but really never had the chance to thank you. Seeing you at One Night Only was extremely special and I relished those moments of one on one at the 92nd St Y. But it’s great to see you’re still impacting and influencing the world! I wish you nothing but continued success….and I agree the love of the game will always see you through!!!

Damn, Feets…
I think it t’was I who just got misty eyed after reading your post! I can’t believe you remember all of that, but I appreciate the love, B! Hopefully some of that talking & stuff helped you…Hearing that you remembered humbles me & lets me know that someone’s listening or watching at all times…
Reach out & update me on your movements…
