The Boys’ Club of New York is scheduled to host its annual Future Stars Tournament, comprising seventh, eighth and ninth graders from New York and the greater New England area on Jan. 16 and 17.
In addition to the BCNY Academic All-Stars, teams taking part include the Eaglebrook School, Rectory School, Cardigan Mountain, Indian Mountain and the Rumsey Hall School.
The event, which will be held at the Elbridge T. Gerry Clubhouse on 111th Street between First and Second Avenues, will culminate with a boys showcase at 2 p.m. on Jan. 18.
“Our goal is to make the ‘Future Stars Tournament’ comparable to the level of competition, sportsmanship, visibility and exposure that the Holiday Classic had successfully established over the past 10-plus years,” a tournament spokesperson said.

The Boys’ Club of New York places inner city boys in the prep schools that will be participating in this Future Stars Tournament as well as across the country, giving them the opportunity to achieve a quality education and a unique set of life skills for boys who grow up underprivileged in NYC. Come out to learn more about the opportunity and to see some very competitive ball players in middle school as they compete and strive to attend the top high schools. Get a sneak peak of our Future Stars.
