Vote Smush Parker and other NYC Ballers for the D-League All-Star Game in Phoenix!
For the second consecutive year, the D-League will be representing at NBA All-Star weekend. This year’s festivities will be held in Phoenix, Arizona. The NBA All-Star game will be played on Sunday, February 13th, with the D-League All-Stars putting in work the day before at 2pm. Bobbito hit me off with some info regarding NYC players that can be voted into the game by you, the fans. NYC-bred players that put it down summer after summer include Smush Parker, Cory Underwood, Curtis Stinson, Larry Ayuso, and Gavin Grant.
So far this year only Blake Ahearn of the Dakota Wizards has been called up to the NBA from the D-League. The All-Star game is a perfect opportunity for these players to get the shine they deserve in front of scouts and executives. Of the players mentioned above, only Smush Parker has been able to earn serious NBA tick. Support these players and others who are grinding, trying to make the dream a reality. No doubt, they deserve some notice.
I think the Lakers should have kept Smush around at least on the bench…
I remember watching Cory Stinson at Iowa State–he rocked em constantly!
And shout out to Cory Underwood who had a workout with the Sixers!

Larry Ayuso hasn’t played summer ball in nyc in years, as he’s become a bonafide superstar in puerto rico’s baloncesto superior nacional pro league. you’ll be able to read plenty more about him in our upcoming february bounce issue #19. he dropped 23 in recent d league game. he’s just warming up, i predict he’ll finish top in scoring by season’s end. he’s a problem. curt stinson looked too powerful last summer when i saw him in ebc at rucker park and watson classic. like nobody was stopping him. and shout to cory underwood. cool cat and deserves an eventual shake, he’s worked out with the nets, too. he’ll get his . . .

Don’t forget about Bill “Sky” Walker, James “Flight” White, and Brent Petaway!
All three are doing good things in the D-League and are guaranteed highlights!
