i remember when i interviewed magic on espn ‘it’s the shoes’ we talked about this commercial. he had never spoken to bird before as they were enemies, but on set they realized they both from the midwest, came from huge families, and loved ball. larry invited him to dinner that night at the crib, and they were cool with each other the rest of their careers . . .
