Portland beatwriter Sara Moskovitz did an ill interview with me while I was in the North West last Thursday to spin at the Fix 2nd Anniversary. She covered a veritable plethora of hip hop, b-ball, and sneaker topics in the short time we had before my set started; check it out here!

Mr. Mango Tango that is a great article. Have a good Holiday. When your spinning on N.Y.E. down in Miami make sure you play some Poisen Clan.

Is the Mango Tango the first nickname that is both a verb and a noun? I read an earlier article that said you gave a defender a quick “Mango Tango.” If I were calling the game would I say, “Mango Tango breakes the press with the mango tango”?

    Pro Keds news sounds dope!

And you made it seem like “It’s the Shoes” is coming back?!

  4. Casey Lee says:

    Bob,

I feel you on the shoe collector thing. I don’t understand it either–why would someone buy shoes and not put them to practical good use and show them off?

It’s like if a city built a basketball court and said, “oh, you people can only look at it when you pass.”

“…WOOOOOOOOAWWWWWWWW….look at the new, green asphalt!”

    haha

    haha, good analogy casey

jeremy, ‘it’s the shoes’ is unfortunately on hold, but could come back as it’s on the espn radar, but who knows . . .

marv–mango tango is a noun(dj mango tango), adjective (that food is mango tango), verb (i mango tangoed him), and adverb (that move was mango tango yummilicious). you decide!

  6. Rasmus from Denmark says:

Bobbito, interesting interview, pretty deep. I’m also feelin’ you about the whole collector/connoiseur deal. Personally I wouldn’t buy a shoe just to keep it on ice forever. Waste of money if you ask me – unless you get Michael Jordan to sign the shoes first, of course.

And yo, thanks for mentioning the Big L / Jay-Z freestyle. Just checked it out on YouTube. Mango tango-licious.

    Peace from Dangmark
