Bouncemag’s own Bobbito Garcia – a.k.a. Kool Bob Love – took a 20-second T.O. in order to field some questions for my burgeoning basketball blog. If you thought the world was separated by six degrees, Bob cuts that in half. His basketball, music and entertainment resume nearly choked the seemingly endless capacity out of my Gmail.
If you don’t know the story behind the man behind Bounce, it’s time for you to take a breather too

Bob,
You are that dude! I am glad that us mere mortals are able to travel with you and to live vicariously through you and Bounce’s world wide lens. Keep doing you and we will all be fine.
Companero, what happened at the Wesleyan Alumni Game?
Funky minds need to know!

Bob-Bounce-To-It,
Well, my man. You’ve done it again…another great piece and inspired by you.
My fitted off to you…if half of us were gentleman and rocked the Kangols or Frank Sinatra top hats, we’d say the same thing.
Kudos.
One Love.

ayo! good lookin for the love peter robert casey, and big ups for all the comments above.
funk–i’ll get up the wes alumni post in a sec, went well.
nosmelone–i had a very short EBC career. i played two games for walkerwear in ‘95. we were terrible, lost both by a lot, and i don’t even remember scoring one basket honestly. but i loved the experience. i shot a 30′ jumper that only grazed the front rim, and duke tango screamed out, ‘that’s not bobbito, that’s danny devito!’ to which the whole 1,000+ crowd started howling to. it was funny, i was even laughing! i did a lot better when greg marius put me down in the EBC celeb game at madison square garden in ‘05 and ‘06. i remember mousey coaching us and telling me that i was the only real ballplayer on the court, to stop passing and just go. i came out fired up and hit 10 points in a row! good times. plus the shorts were fuego!
