The Lux Mid is the latest hoops model to receive tinkered treatment from adidas’ Remix initiative. Aimed at offering sports-friendly footwear in bombastic lifestyle colorways, high-profile models such as the Gil Zero and TMac VI have been Remixed in the past. The aforementioned Lux is toned up in varying shades of burgundy, black, and lime green—certainly not your normal basketball fare—but in an off-the court setting, the scheme is deadly when paired with denim.
The shoe’s dynamic upper is comprised primarily of buttery smooth leathers, with splashes of reinforced micromesh covering the ankle region. Out back, the Lux’s sturdy build is further strengthened by a line of stitching that affixes black faux-croc print to the cow hide. The model is rounded off by a sticky, wavy neon green (That for lack of better description is quite lucid.) herringbone tread that should provide durability for hoops and casual endeavors. Cushioning is provided via a spongy Fit-Foam sockliner. When pricing information and availability becomes available, we’ll be sure to update you here!
