Garnett has a problem with the Spanish players who are in the League. A couple of days agos, KG tried to intimidate to Jose Calderon, but he hit with the Spanish fury and the character of the Raptors guard, who demanded respetc.
I called Calderon the day after the incident and his message was clear: “I only wanted my respect.” Garnett’s provocations against the Spanish became against him and he had to accept his error. “He can do those things but me too.” Calderon had spoken.
Garnett made the same mistake with Pau Gasol few years ago. He underestimated Pau and wanted to scare him when he arrived at the League. After some games, Gasol humiliated KG on nacional TV with a monster dunk.

How do you know he has a problem with Spanish players because of two incidents? Ive seen Garnett try to intimidate Duncan. So does that mean he has a problem w/ players from VI?

Illest- I don’t mean that he has only problems with the Spaniards. I talk about that he already had two ‘problems’ with two players of this country. Anyway, everybody knows that KG use the intimidate as his best weapon a lot ot games.

I agree. Garnett attempts to intimidate everybody he plays. He’s been emotional since high school. He curses the crowd out before every game. The refs even understand he’s an emotional player and allow him to curse and yell on the court. Wish we had more players like him in the league. No matter the money or situation he leaves it the court everygame, practice, interview, commercial. Who got the last between him and Pao. He made Gasol look like a teddy bear in the finals. It started with the intimidation factor. Why you think he blocks shots after the whistle. Intimidation. All the greats intimidate in one way or another. Kareem, Wilt, Mike, Kobe, Garnett, Duncan, Lebron and on on on. Some talk, some with their game. Some with their mind. I don’t think it’s fair to asses garnett with that tag. Remember also if he’s talking or trying to intimidate them. That would mean he respects their game and is trying to get in their head. We have some great spanish players in the league and I hope they continue to come over. Calderon,Arroyo, Fernandez, Gasol Brother’s, Rodriguez. Real respects real. Rubio. 2009

The beginning of your article suggests that KG has a problem with only Spanish people. Perhaps you should look at your wording because the ones used here are misleading.
First read on this looks like your calling KG out for the trash talk he’s done to two people of Spanish decent.
What about getting into with Pachulia in the playoffs?
I dont think he discriminates on who he goes at. He’s intense and raises the intensity level of everyone on his team.

It’s possible that you are right. When I wrote about those two players was because whenever KG used trash-talk with the Spaniards they embarrassed him whit several moves. Just it.
Of course I know KG use trash-talk with a lot of players (I said it’s his best weapon many times), but I was suprised when I watched Calderon screaming in his face and I remembered Gasol’s episode.
Anyway, I’m sorry if my wording were not very clear.

Good article. Garnett has always been an ***hole for years. He’s always quiet though when things aren’t going his way which is a bitch move. There’s so many behind scenes things about him that haven’t come out but I think most people know that he’s a jerk.

No need for apologies.
No harm, no foul.
Watching the youtube I’m confused as to why KG gave up so much baseline to Pau, you learn in grammar school that you don’t give up baseline.

Dumb post. What he did obviously worked since Calderon only scored 7 points. Kg finished with 21 and 10.
Not to mention the Raptors lost that game. So who really got the respect?
Kg of course.

Okay there is obviously a language barrier here, but to call Garnett an @$$hole and say he uses intimidation as a factor is hilarious. Come on people, do your homework!! Gary Payton was the biggest trash talker and His Airness was no church mouse either!!! Guys talk shit in competitive sports. It happens!!!!!
