From ESPN and award-winning filmmaker Dan Klores, Black Magic comes to DVD on October 28. The film, which chronicles the plight of HBCU players and coaches features rare in-game footage from Earl “The Pearl” Monroe, Willis Reed, John Chaney, Earl Lloyd, Ben Jobe, and Perry Wallace and features interviews from a wide arrary of hoops luminaries. The documentary is slated to release under ESPN’s Home Entertainment umbrella, and will be coming in a 2-disc set. The show will re-air in its entirety on Sunday, October 26 at 3:30 PM Eastern Time.

I was fortunate to score an advanced copy of “Black Magic” and it is a treasure. I encourage all “serious” fans and officianados to possess this CD for the archives.
It would be a blessing, if we could convince some of our talent to attend and re-invigorate the HBCU’s. They will come back like a Mike Jordan supposed retirement.Sooner than you think.
