We call ourselves “The Four Horsemen”: me, Rob Cash, Money Man Ros and Corey. We all are close, and relate thanks to Spaulding. Friends are hard to find and we cherish ours. The photo above was taken on Rob Cash’s block, the great Scrilla Hill. That day we played about eight games early in the morning. The teams were Corey and I vs. Rob and Ros. All of us plan to try out for basketball this year at our school.

NCAA DRE OUT!!!
Harlem native Andre Johnson is 17 years old, and scored 15 points in eight minutes at Showtime last Spring. When he plays football, his body looks like he ate a bad piece of chicken. He will be trying out for Murray Bergtraum HS’ Varsity this Fall.

Fellas,
As a Coach, I am always encouraging my players/students to develop “positive Peer networks”. Keeping yourself surrounded by like minded persons committed to achieving becomes a source of strength and inspiration.
A suggested reading for your group is the book “The Pact”, which chronicles the story of 3 friends from Newark,Nj who supported each other through medical school. They are doctors and dentists, today.
My philosophy for being successful:
LEAP to success!
L – Listen and learn
E – Evaluate to make good decisions
A -take Appropriate action
P – Practice and persistence

@ NCAA Dre: Good luck to you and your crew during tryouts.
It sounds like you’re a rising junior, which is a very important year academically. Colleges will measure your classroom performance this year relative to your first two years. Show progress and challenge yourselves–on and off the court.
