    I played for Boys’ Club’s Academic All-Stars team in 1999. My participation on that team was a turning point in my life. We played against prep schools throughout the northeast, stayed in nice hotels, got nice gear and I ended up at one of those prestigious prep schools the following year. I also traveled to Cuba with the Academic All-Stars for BCNY.

    I recommend the program and encourage any 7th-9th graders to tryout. It could change your life forever.
