DJ AM Sneakers

This past weekend, Adam Goldstein AKA Mister Serato, AKA “DJ AM” was severely injured in a plane crash. Also in the plane were AM’s drummer, Travis Barker (formerly of Blink 182) and additional family and friends. The crash was deadly, but AM and Barker survived. Without getting into the gruesome details (which are all over the news), we would like to pay a little video homage to DJ AM, the sneaker head who calls his sneaker cellar “the icebox!”

Here’s a clip of DJ AM’s cameo from the HBO Series Entourage, where he competes with “Vince” and “Turtle” for a pair of the shoes we now call the Undefeated (UNDFTD) Entourage Air Force 1.

    Ali-

    I second those same sentiments…
It’s always devastating to hear about such a horrific accident.

Prayers go out to both DJ AM and Travis Barker’s, as well as their families.

    Godspeed Barker and DJ AM.

Of course, AM posts on NT, likes rare Air Forces and loves thick latinas, so I don’t expect to be out of action for long!

word, I definitely was down to hear the news about AM & Travis B. I love their Fix Your Face mixtape and just those two in general.

Prayers def go out to them & their families.

    Jeremy, bro, you’re the best!

I’ve been a fan of AM since hearing his mashup of Petty’s “Last Dance” with “Dani California” by the Chili Peppers. A friend of mine trades shoes with him and the guy has a intense passion for the game (and a sick PE collection).

G-dspeed for sure. Seems like this was a freak accident. We should all be grateful for our health and never take it for granted.

    Ali:

After seeing photos from the crash, it is a miracle that they did walk away. Given how passionate they are for music, I hope their dedication and willpower carries them back to 100%.

known about AM for years as we’ve both been featured in teh same documentaries and articles, and only recently met him at apt when he rolled through with my boy dj eli. super cool dude, was really impressed with how chill he was considering the amount of press he gets. let me also say that on a dj technical level, he’s ridiculously flawless, can scratch, mix, all that. whatever paper he makes spinning, he well deserves.
