A SPANIARD IN NYC (PART VII): HASTA LA VISTA BABY Uncategorized / Sep 17, 2008 / 8:39 pm

See you next summer

That’s it. My NYC streetball trip ended on July 25th. My last day in the City was a little bit bored for this blog readers: just woke up later, made my luggage and did last shopping. I went to NBA Store to buy some jerseys, T’s and shorts. Then I ate something at Times Square and walked around Central Park before went to Kennedy Airport. The last game that I watched wasn’t basketball… it was an amateur baseball game, haha. The funniest thing of that day was that I couldn’t put all my new clothes inside my bag and I had to wear five jerseys, a T-Shirt and jeans to come back to Madrid. It was a VERY hot flight, believe me!

At last I just want to say thanks to all the people who helped me in New York and made my trip one of the most important in my life. Thanks to my man Bobbito ( for your help in NYC and the opportunity to write this blog. Your AF1 Kool Bob Love are hot, primo!), Sherman “Mr. InsideStreetball” Wing (you were my playground partner and introduce me the best players in the Big Apple. It doesn’t have prize. Your DVDs are real ball, bro), Chris Chaney (that long long trip to Orchard Beach was a great day), Mousey (you got the best tournament in the City. The unis that you gave me are so cool), Jansy (my Boricuan bro), Roman “Da Gift” Perez (you are the future man), BallGurl (Your three point range is great!), Darren “DP” Phillip (you are the best big man in the City bro. See you in Madrid), Corey “Homicide” Williams (thanks for those 46 points at Pro City. Good luck in Australia. Keep in contact man), Quinton “T2” Hosley (Spanish league is just your last step before NBA), Kareem “Big Game” Reid (you are the best guard in NYC. I’m putting your name in Spain as I promised) and all those players who had enough time to talk with a Spanish guy who crossed the Atlantic to watch them play (Smush Parker, “A-Butta”, Junie “GE” Sanders, Kenny Satterfield, God Shammgod –your signed basketball card is my best souvenir-, “Total Package”, Chris “Chiquitin” de la Rosa…). Sorry to everybody who I forget, but I’m writing this post just before go to bed and I’m sleepy, hahahaha.

See you next year.

The End.
