A usual suspect: Kerry Kittles at the pump station.
I’ve spent many sleepless nights wishing the bygone hip-hop jersey craze would return. And while I have a feeling that my insatiable thirst for authentic sports apparel might never be quenched like it was in the early part of the millennium, at least there’s Straight Cash Homey.Net. The website is more Champion than Mitchell & Ness, more Starter than Champion. It’s essentially a random collection of photos depicting people wearing obscure, hard-to-find, or just wacky athlete’s garb. And of course, there’s hilarious commentary. Shouts to my man Nick for putting me on.
Check it out here: Straight Cash Homey.

what ever happend to starter and Champion? Its like once New Era and Nike came into the fitted/jersey game they forgot to step their game up. Granted their quality was trash with jersey’s bearly lasting a year on the playground. That dreaded peeling of numers and logo was always a reason to avoid them. Still I love going to the local “bohemian used clothing” market in the city and finding jerseys from the early 90’s.

i was gonna buy a mid 90s rod strickland washington bullets jersey on ebay a while ago, then i realized that at the age of 25 there is just no way its gonna look good on me – straightcashhomey.net just confirms my suspicions! i think i’ll leave the replica game to the youngsters who can pull it off.
