Over the course of the next week or two, I’ll be showcasing my latest sneaker pick-ups. Initially, I had planned to christen this post “Coming Out of the Closet: Most…,” to provide a bit of comic relief and combat an environment that is filled with hypersexual tension, particularly when it involves people who partake in alternative lifestyles. In the end however, I decided to roll with Bobbito’s in-print “Let ‘Em Marinate” format. And for the record, no I’m not gay, and no, I will not be “previewing” images of girls around my way. Enjoy the grips!
In 1982, the New Balance 420 was rated the “#1 Running Shoe on the Market” by Runner’s World Magazine. And sure, the EVA foam cushioning insert nestled in the shoe’s nether region is decades behind today’s technical offerings, the 420 warranted several, “Where’d You Get Those Remarks?!” It’s tough to say no to the model’s cream/blue/dark grey color scheme, and the buttery smooth nylon toebox doesn’t hurt either.
Thanks Kristina!
