Streetball is not the main marketing focus for all the major brands. The swoosh & Jordan Brand, And 1, Pro-keds…and more recently k1x are trying to give streetball, recognition and exposure. The new collection book is featuring some streetball legends from NYC like Kareem Reid, Daren Phillips, Corey Underwood and dunkers like T-dub or Kadour Ziani. I just wanna say a big shout out to all the people from k1x, feeding the streetball culture with creativity and glorious tribute to all the underground activists.

i think k1x is doing what And1 should have done when they first started to pop, continue to embrace real ballers who have made names for themselves in the streets rather than try to manufacture “legends” from washed up guys and kids that shined in an “open run” played in a parking lot

you’re right man, and the cool thing is that k1x is internationnal ! the brand is not only focusing NYC or the States but all the ballers, sponsoring european , asian, african players and giving them true exposure.

last year we were freshman, just feelin out the scene and learning the ropes.
this year we were sophmores. we came back knowin whats up with a deeper crew and by the end of the year we had mad respect and ppl knew we were on the rise and ready to run s**t.
next year is junior year baby. it will be our time to shine and step up to the seniors. they on the way out anyway. they have no choice but to bow down and not delay the inevitable
you already know what it is for senior year. we runnin it, hands down!!

K1X is taking the city by storm, and you know how I know, when they first started I remember I would say you seen them new K1X joints for the rucker and guys would look at me like what the hell im talking bout now dudes in my hood talking about how comfy they are big ups to them.
