September 11, 2001 marked the most disastrous terrorist event to ever occur on American soil. And what followed the attacks on The Pentagon and World Trade Center was definitely special. An unwayvering sense of pride and Patriotism was displayed by athletes, public figures, and average joes alike. Among the aforementioned groups was Kobe Bryant, the electric do-it-all guard for the Los Angeles Lakers wore a pair of Americanized Kobe II’s when he was with adidas. The shoe was later seen on LeBron James, and one of the twelve pairs said to be existence now belongs to my friend Nick DePaula at Sole Collector. More images after the jump!

i lost friends in 9/11, but i might have to note that one of the most disastrous terrorist events on american soil was what the u.s. did to native americans as they raped, pillaged, and murdered them in order to take over their land rights . . .
