Tri-State Classic (145th and Lenox Ave.)
Bingo’s All-Star’s .vs. You Better Pray
Bingo’s All-Stars led by Kareem Reid’s 26 points and seven assist effort cruised to an easy 115-95 win over You Better Pray. Kendell “World Premier” Provett and Lamont “Momo” Jones played hard but couldn’t overcome the all-around game of Ron Artest (19 pts) and Kemba Walker (20 pts). Bingo matches up against Money Train to see who gets to the chip Thursday night.
Ed’s All-Star’s .vs. Dip Set
Kenny Satterfield hit one-of-two free-throws with 14 seconds to go, helping Ed’s All-Star’s pull out a 99-98 victory and setting up a big semi-final match-up against the X-Men tonight. It didn’t help Dip Set’s cause that Adrian “A-Butter” Walton left the park during the contest, apparently upset about not getting a chance to run. Quinton Hosely had 34 points for Ed’s. Rob Hines had 27 points and Mousey the Magician dropped 26 for the losing squad in a close and hotly contested game.
