DOGG SHOW & DAME DASH / Jul 21, 2008 / 5:01 pm

Dame Dash’s son “Boogie” at Dogg Show. The proud father is seated at halfcourt with the green New Era.

Last week, I had a game at Dogg Show (136th St. bet. B’way/Amsterdam) in Harlem. The youth division ran before ours, and I got to watch Dame Dash’s son just straight dominate his age group. Dame mentioned he’s helping out Dogg Show Tournament Director “Dogg.” There is a cool neighborhood atmosphere there. Dogg announces with the bullhorn and is funny with his verbals. Games are played every night starting roughly at 7pm. It’s been around for four years now, and is growing. Steve Burtt Jr., Keydren Clark, and other marquee guards have made appearances. Last year’s MVP was “World Premier.” Look for a feature on it this Thursday on MSG’s Summerball at 7pm.

Oh, forgot to mention that our squad lost by 12! We play again tomorrow, Tuesday, July 22nd, at 8pm. Take the 1 train to 138th St. and Broadway and show support! Shout out to all the heads on the sideline who showed me love every time I got an assist or scored. I felt real welcome there.

Our team captain Roman “El Regalo” Perez so fast under the lights not even my camera could catch him!

What is Dame Dash’s son’s name? I am curious, since I saw Dame, in attendance at the prestigious Hall of Fame classic in Springfield, Mass, back in January, watching St. Ray’s play and wonder if his son might be on the team.
