Last week my homeboy Ralph Hines showed up to the 14th St. Y lunchtime run with the only official early Dyckman Tournament t-shirt from ‘95! This was from the early years when there were no shorts or Nike sponsorship. In fact, Kenny Stevens told me in an ‘04 Bounce interview, “The first year we only had six teams, $50 per squad, and you brought your own shirts!” That was obviously a very different era! Props to Kenny for bringing his organization this far (20 years strong in a couple of years), and to cool Ralph for the Throwback!
