During a recent game at the Conrad McRae Youth League (Brooklyn), I watched a group of teenagers work-out on their jumpers in an unorthodox way. The shooter was pulling from out of bounds in the deep corner–talk about working on your range! With the flick of the wrist and good arch, in no time they should be pulling from anywhere.
Apparently the competitors’ friends were arguing who was going to win, and the champ ran away with braggin’ rights galore and then some. He told me he had a game in Brower Park later against some kids I know from around the neighborhood. I imagine he had a good shooting night . . .
Work on your jumper my fellow ballplayers!
