    Nelly is wack as %#@$ and is one of my most despised rappers, but damn them kicks is beautiful. Cant tell if I like those or my red/white ones better.

    Anyway, this is one thing that pisses me off about the sneaker game right now. Its terrible that anyone with a deal or a little bit of fame can get the super exclusives while us regular joes are left in the dust. It really messes up the whole idea of “exclusives” or “limited” joints when you know the majority of the pairs will be going to celebrities. This is in no way a diss to cats like Bob and all them who have been reppin the culture before it even was a culture, and continue to work hard and play ball. I dont mind seeing athletes with the super dupers cause thats what they do! Everybody else should be treated the same. Whats the point of me hunting for some joints when I know DJ blah blah and MC Joe Schmo are going to own half the pairs? It disgusts me even more when I see them bragging about it like they went out there and hunted for it themselves. Screw them, hahaa sorry for the rant, great post Jeremy!

    teddy–the idea of product placement with celebrities dates back to the ’70s, and the companies won’t ever stop doing as it helps promote their brand, in 99% of the cases for free. nelly doesn’t get paid to wear those XXIIIs, however jordan obviously gets loads of pub from it so he wins cuz he got the exclusive adn they win, too.

    right or wrong, i hope that explains and sheds light my brother.
