The Six Rings is a celebratory extravaganza of MJ’s six NBA Championships, sans the jewelry. Hybrids have been the name of Jordan Brand’s game, and this latest combination of aesthetics represents all of the shoes his “Airness” wore during his winning seasons. Below the foot, the model is built on the familiar midsole and outsole tooling of the Jordan XIII. Above the foot, the iconic patent toe and mesh upper made famous by the beautiful, beautiful Jordan XI is present. The VIII makes an appearance by way of the upper heel strap (though this iteration of the device seems to offer limited performance perks however). The VI is represented by its once daringly conspicuous heel tap and lace lock. Perforations on the patent toe mark the VII, while the XII and XIV are more quiescently incorporated, as the former is characterized by the lacing clips, while the latter helped inspire the overall proportions of the sneaker.
Expect the Six Rings to release in Mid-August.
