AND1 is kicking off their 2008 advertising campaign and Mixtape Tour with a freshly formatted website and a commercial—complete with flaming balls. (The television spot features a perilous Pirate of the Carribean-esque instrumental and the Guardrail Mid, an upcoming model).
The timeless Mixtape Tour will be completed on a smaller scale this summer season, as it will only hit Portland, San Francisco, Chicago, Memphis, Philadelphia, and Springfield, Massachusetts. For more ticket information, check out:

they should give the bounce crew a crack at doing a tv ad for them, the fire one above was uninspiring considering how exciting their game highlight can be . . .

I remember a certain somebody trying to call And 1 the heavyweights of street ball. Never agreed with that and now that’s proven. Not saying they don’t have some great ball players, but there’s more to a tour and company than having talented players. It’s about the whole package. Players, COACHES, and executives. And 1 doesn’t have the whole package and have never done the right thing.
6 cities?
BALL4LIFE SKY TOUR — 2 cities in Chile, ten cities in China, 5 in the Caribbean, 10-15 in the US. Damn, and it’s only the first year!

YO_
It should be noted that And1 is indeed continuing on their world tour of sorts. Not sure how many games they’ll be playing outside of the United States, but I’ll keep you updated. (Would it be possible for me to accompany you B4L brothers in the Caribbean?…haha)
AND1 was **once** the heavyweight of streetball, but with lacking nationwide interest their time has probably passed. It’s also impossible for every team or business to do everything ethically. I don’t know the backstory to the Shane situation, but it’s obvious they played him. At the same time, the tour has opened up doors for many ballplayers, giving them a better shot at life, all while accomplishing their dream. While Main Event and the rest of the fellas rightfully hate the company, AND1 opened many doors for them.

Ok lets clear this up, Ball 4 Life is good but there promotional sucks bad and just cause there overseas dosent mean there doing any better, if you notice and 1 is still a united states tour and the go out of the counrty compared to B4L not knockin em or anything cause those are the guys who paved the way for and 1 but if you look at the numbers and 1 is probly making more denero which would say people feel there tour more with all the advertisements, sneakers, shorts, I know people who are still looking for that retro Cameo Fatigue Jersey from 2004 tour feening for some and 1 streetball. And 1 is at the top and it might be like that for a long time to come…
P.s the commercial sucked, they shoulda got Bobbito Staring as the streetball preacher (wink wink) like in NBA STREETS LMAO

Main Event and the players opened the door for And 1. Many people have that confused. And 1 made more money with the players. And 1 wasn’t that popular until the tour came along. They were just smart by making sure they controlled everything. Almost every idea came from Main Event and And 1 used that.
And 1 is not on top. If they are doing less and less every year, what do you think that means?

Joe,
What are the US tour dates for B4L? I am still an And1 fan, but I enjoy your team as well and definately will check you out if you come to Philly. Post back and let me know. Thanks and keep up the good work.

I don’t have the dates in front of me. I’ll post them soon though. The website b4l.net will be in July with everything. The tour is starting later since it’s the first official year. Thanks 4 the support.

While it was mentioned that and1 opened many doors for MainEvent and others, MainEvent opened THE DOOR for and1. Let us not forget that the and1 Mixtape Tour Concept was created by MainEvent and shared with and1.
Let me pose these questions: How many times have the and1 brand been sold and how much did it sell for? How much did the players, including MainEvent profit from sales? Has any and1 players received royalty checks for and1 products that were created and sold (clothing/sneakers/books/video games/television/ect.)?
After researching the answers, you too will understand why and1 is slowly folding!
It is my understanding that B4L Players own the tour and receive royalties on various products that are developed and sold… thanks again to MainEvent.
Looks like MainEvent and company learned a valuable lesson and refuses to be played (no pun intended) again!
I’m checking for the BALL4LIFE SKY TOUR!
