Diggin’ In The Crates / Jun 4, 2008 / 9:00 am

DJ Spinna finding breaks for his next drum loop.

Last week, Kenny Dope was kind enough to introduce DJ Spinna and I along to a very secret, appointment only record spot tucked away somewhere in Pennsylvania. Sorry, can’t give you more information on the whereabouts yet! There were 4 million 7″s stocked through three floors. I found 45s that I’ve been searching years for like Willie Colon “Calle Luna, Calle Sol” (Fania), and discovered songs Les McCann “McCanna” (World Pacific Jazz) that I never even knew existed other than on LPs. It was heavenly.

We were all smiling real big–good lookin’ out, Kenny!

Come check out Spinna and I on June 14th at our annual “Wonder-Full” Stevie Wonder Tribute:

Wow, so much possible history in one spot!

I discovered O.C.’s single “King of New York” the other day, and that joint has become my new banger!

I found a copy of the Wu-Tang demo tape and wutang-corp.com. Everything is incredible about it…

I know most of this stuff is old hat for you B.O.B., but it really is great when you uncover some awesome stuff.

    Thats amazing. Vinyl Lives!

I was up all night going through some old Reggae 45’s that I just copped for cheap.

There’s nothing like having a dope song then flipping to the other side to hear the instrumental.

Just found the drums they used for Shyne’s “Bad Boys”

WOW! I’m not even old enough to have partied to those records but I can appreciate a collection like that. That’s probably a beat makers sampling heaven.
