Romania, a streetball birth / Jun 3, 2008 / 6:00 pm

Last weekend was the second edition of the Sport Arena Tournament in Bucarest, the capital of Romania. Launched by some streetball pioneers, it’s now one of the biggest 3on3 contests in Europe. Dozen of local ballers were in competition during the two days, but all were waiting for the dunk exhibition supervised by Kadour Ziani, featuring some jumpin’ cats like Guy Dupuy, Kevin”Golden Child” Kemp, Brice & Yann De Blaine & Troy ” Mr FLying 101″ Mcray. Those guys including Lennon “the Lawyer” Alvarez Blanco also played, winning most of their games on Saturday and eliminated on Sunday morning against a local crew. Never underestimate the white Romanian guys with no hops !
