The score you see above was from our last SBL game, a 33 point shellacking of our opponents. The week before our squad The 97 had won by 25. The star was “S. Dot,” a former St. Francis College sharpshooter, who connected on ten 22′ footers (and further) behind the three point paint. I’ve only seen two long range performances that could top his: PR Pride captain Ray Rivera’s 11 3s when we shocked Dominican Power up at Dyckman in ‘06, and Eric Opio’s 11 3s in Kingdome’s Winter League. I’d say the most impressive would’ve had to been RR’s as it was such a close match and NBA player Luis Flores was on the other squad.
The Sunday Basketball League takes place at Park West H.S. on 50th st. bet. 10th and 11th Ave., 5th floor gym. For teams and players interested in joining, and contact Reggie Primus: sblcontact @yahoo.com.

Bobbito Garcia a.k.a. Kool Bob Love says:
jack’s 23 three pointers in one quarter was outrageous, but i wasn’t there. i only mentioned the three above cuz i was actually on the court passing the ball, setting picks, etc. and saw it live and up close. ridiculousness, especially in all three cases none of them went nut. it was all in teh flow of the game . . . well, i take that back. eric opio is a nut! but i love him just the same.

Reg Raw says:
He (Sean)was definitely unconscious as he finished with 40pts. The final score was actually 101-66. They finished the regular season 12-1 defeating “A Game” 75-66 who was down 20+ points and made a dramatic surge closing the gap to 5 down the stretch. The star of the show was Young Josh who slashed, penetrated and fast broke for 32pts. If BX Finest the only blemish on “The 97’s record can get past “Harlem All Stars” and the winner of “Marc Stars” vs. “Brooklyn Huskies”, the finals should be a good one, providing The 97 can get 2 more.
