On May 18th, in front of a packed house at Thomas Jefferson HS, Usual Suspects defeated All Game in a nail biter at the Funsport Brooklyn HS Classic Championship. It was tied 88-88 with some odd seconds to go until Erving Walker hit an NBA range game winner. The U. of Florida bound Walker showed why he won the Best Point Guard award at the Albert Schweitzer International Tournament in Mannheim, Germany last March, however the Player of the Game honors on this day went to Justin Greene who finished with 17 points and 19 rebounds.
Both teams featured players that you are going to see on television one day, some as soon as next season. Everyone knows, or should, who Keith Spellman, McDonald’s All-American/U Conn bound Kemba Walker, David Imes, Ryan Pearson, Chris Fouch, Justin Greene, Marquis Grant and Joseph “Jojo” Swift are, but David Coley, Davontay Grace and Joel “Air Jamaica” Wright displayed why Thomas Jefferson will make another push to the Garden for the PSAL Championship in ‘09. With these three individuals and the explosive athleticism of Keith Spellman, TJ will be a force to reckon with.
Big ups to all of the players in attendance! For more info on all of Rickey River’s current leagues, check www.funsportinc.com

Sounds like it was live, wish I was there. Jefferson is a good squad but they not winning anything with Spellman shooting 10-40 every night. He got skills but should use his teammates more. Grace and Wright are tough.
