By Bobbito Garcia a.k.a. Kool Bob Love

The Hawks did their thing stretching the Celts to seven in the 1st round, but I was more impressed by Josh Childress when I peeped his recent Slam column. Peep what’s over his left shoulder . . . he’s got my Nike AF1 X Kool Bob Love light blue/olive green collabs right there in his collection! That had me amped. ATL has an intense sneaker scene for those who don’t know or have never been down there.
Josh, if you get to read this–good lookin’ for reppin’ my joints!

Childress’ resemblance to the RZA is uncanny. I’ve called this dude “Lil RZA” since he was at Stanford.

i’ve had different favorites depending on the time of the day! haha. but los i’d have to go with the aubergine, hi’s it’s the beef broc for chillin’, the reds for ballin’. just had them on yesterday in fact and dropped 20 and 4. heads on the sideline was amping me like, ‘yo, bob got his own signatures on–how crazy is that!’ felt good, man. for real.

Bob - no salute to the OG Bobbito Lo’s?
White, rust/burgundy swoosh with the gum sole and the “BOBBITO” stitched on the side?
I mean this was before every rapper had a sneaker… LOL.

i have a question for people as well.. do dudes really rock their kicks? i know i do, and they get scuffed, they get creased, etc; it bothers me when it happens, but as long as they dont get totally dogged, its not the end of the world.. but i see alot of heads post pics of their collections on soul collector or whatever, and it looks like they dont even rock their shoes, they just make shrines in their bedroom or something.. just curious if heads are wearing their kicks? i mean if u got something u really love and want to keep on ice or some real crazy exclusive that u just want to hold, i understand, but what is the point of buying shoes if u are not going to wear them? i never understood this..

brooklyn patties shirts?
and yes, d peets, you are absolutely right. the step offs are my favorite as i got them way early on this whole hoorah ride of the last ten years, but i don’t even count them as they are on some extra-tellestial level for me. and i do wear them, only on special occasions though. for example, the very first ‘it’s the shoes’ shoot in 2005 when we went to the nike id elizabeth gallery, i chose the step off diddlies. word.
