The Venerable McFlys
See any similarities?

Germany Olympic Player Exclusive Model
Back to The Future II and the Hyperdunk have something in common, and no, it is not Michael J. Fox. (Fox undoubtedly had some boogie and range from thirty feet back in his heyday though…) Give up? Perhaps the scene that piqued my interest most in the second iteration of the B.T.F. series was when Mikey grabbed that Matel Barbie boogie board and hovered away from Biff and his nefarious gan. Sure, the special effects were cool, but you know it’s simply got to be the shoes! McFly was wearing some exclusive light-up grey/robin’s egg blue speckled high-top jumpoffs. The heel piece on the movie versions is very similar to the heel piece of the Hyperdunks. The overall proportions of the shoes are extremely alike too.

Yi Player Exclusive
All classic movie references aside, the Hyperdunk implements two of Nike’s most heralded innovations of late, Lunar Foam and Flywire.
Lunar Foam, which has been used in the past as a comfort element in NASA spaceships, is a compelling mixture of EVA and nitrate rubber. The combination offers a delectably smooth spongy feel underfoot, which is sure to please hoopers that reside on the asphalt for multi-hour sessions. Outside of great comfort, the new cushioning interface is nearly 30% lighter than a Zoom Air unit. Simply put, you get the great comfort, all while cutting the calories.
The strands engulfing the upper not only add a distinctive aesthetic element to the shoe, but also add much needed midfoot stability for explosive ballplayer. These pieces assume the alias of Flywire. While the F’wire may look a bit unassuming at first, it is made from high density Vectran, and acts as a beautiful support element during quick cuts and jab steps. When flexed, Vectran loses 0% of its strength (Kevlar loses nearly 25%), and performs extremely well at high temperatures. With the Hyperdunks, you’ll be on lockdown like Pee Wee, cooking your opponents with the business.
Look forward to the Hyperdunk at retailers in Fall ’08!
